Bio
Carly Gaebe was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and moved to New York in 2000 to attend Sarah Lawrence College where she studied psychology, biology, painting and photography. Since graduating with a BA in 2004, Carly has worked as a divemaster, marine biologist, studio manager and photographer. She currently lives in Brooklyn and will finish her MFA from the School of Visual Arts for Photography, Video and Related Media in 2011. Artistically, her goals include creating work that both incorporates and integrates biology, technology and performance. Her personal goals include scuba diving on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
